A bit of background.

I have sold a lot of my photographs, and I realized that most of them were taken in my backyard or within walking distance of my backyard. Now that I've moved, I am photographing my new backyard and enjoying watching what pops up from the ground.

This is the story of tulips.

Day 1: 8AM

It seemed the tulips starting, and I knew they would be red, because one could see a bit of red but this day it was obvious to me it was going to bloom.

This is just one clump of tulips the one that was seemingly going to be the first to fully bloom so I got out the camera!

Day 1: 1PM

A few hours later one bud is about to burst, and the others are beginning to open as well. And by the way, the temperature was rapidly approaching 85°, which I think helped spread the tulips to full bloom.

Day 1: 4PM
