Bucket Lists
hmm — no thank you — not my thing
I’ve been seeing the words “bucket list” online lots of late. “What’s on your bucket list? ” is a question that has been raised in several of my forums and groups.
So, of course, I had to stop and think about it — while reading some of those lists. To me, it's an odd term and idea. The term to kick the bucket has been around for a long time, but the concept of a bucket list is relatively new.
Apparently, the point of making and having a bucket list is to think about and list all the things you want to do before you die. It might be a great idea or fantasy list for some; but not for me. We are all going to die — some of us sooner — and some of us later. The idea that we would have a list of all the things we want to do before that happens is, to me, not the best way to live what might be your end chapter[s].
Then again, I am one who does not make New Year's resolution lists — so I'm certainly not the kind of person to make a…
