How Large Does The Writing On The Wall Have To Be

before you really pay attention

I liked wall writing well before it got called graffiti. There was much writing on the subway walls in New York City — just like in the Simon and Garfunkel song the words of the prophets are written on the subway walls...

That's just my way of saying that I've been reading wall writing since I began riding subways — which was a long time ago.

I still read everything on the wall, and in the book, and on the ceiling, or on the bulletin board…I love to read words.

Those are real word ones that I can see clearly. But there are other words — signs and symbols — that may not be tangible. Those are often words that I do not pay enough attention to.

That is until they are so large that they are impossible to NOT read.

I had not really given much thought to this until I was texting with a good friend who moved out of my neighborhood a few years ago — and we don't see each other as much as we used to.
