I Love Dandelions — And The Wine

I while ago I wrote this [below]

In that post I mentioned my dandelions and making dandelion wine.

Well — I did it!! But I won’t know about the outcome for months as it has to sit!! I had not made it at least for a couple of decades, so I was not working from recent memory. In fact, I had to go find the recipe online as my copy of Bradbury’s Dandelion Wine seemed not to have survived one of my moves. [Although it could be in a box of books that I really never unpacked at my last residence. Ditto Gibbons Stalking The Wild Asparagus, which I think also had a dandelion wine recipe.]

Maybe the two books are sitting someplace waiting for me to open them and shout hurrah!!

But I remembered that the recipe I used called for floating yeast on rye toast so I found a recipe that sounded just like what I used to use. I did try getting a copy of the book online but I would've had to wait a while. I knew the…
