Moving! U.G.H.
but it can be very liberating
Years ago I realized that one can think of moving as being liberating — you throw out past stuff, you clear out some present stuff, you clean stuff up, and you plan for the future.
You tend to leave your residence looking so neat and clean you wonder “wow how did I put so much stuff in here.”
I used to move pretty much every 5 to 7 years — but this time I stayed put for 18 years. I have a very small house so I did not collect very much — but the “not very much” still needs to get sorted, tossed, donated, gifted, packed and then moved. In spite of not collecting stuff; I seem to have collected stuff.
I did try over the years to pretend that I was moving every five or six years so that I tossed stuff out — but still……
This upcoming move is a welcomed one. In many ways, I cannot wait to get out and to my new place. I did write about that here.
The situation in the neighborhood has not changed much, except that with gas prices being higher, gas tanks and lines were being punctured to get the gas. On the positive side…
