It’s June 1st!

I woke up this morning and made some major commitments to myself:

Do some yoga every day

Walk at least 5000 steps a day

Hydrate more

Write X articles

Why did I do this?

For starters, I'm a trained researcher and noted that I slept better, felt better, and got more done when I was more physically active.

Yeah, I know, that’s not an earth-shattering idea — these are listed in most every article you read about how to stay healthy.

But I also know [as that researcher and developmental psychologist] that knowing something and KNOWING something are two different phenomena.

I’d written about my watch which keeps track of several variables and I saw that I felt better after a day of more activity. I also noted my resting heart rate was lower as well [and that’s a good thing.] The watch gives me a score for my sleeping, but I don't agree with it — so I ignore that. I know when I've had a good night’s sleep or not — I don't care what the watch tells me.
