Reading My Spam Email

it’s a fun thing to do [sometimes]

My email accounts do a good job of sorting spam into a spam folder. But since they are not perfect, I do check those spam folders to make sure my “good” emails do not end up there. [It happens.]

Gone are the days when people “dying of cancer,” who had millions of dollars, were reaching out to me to give me that money. I did wonder how so many sick and dying people were so alert and sending out emails — and wondered even more that they were all over the world and had the same story to tell…But having friends who have cancer and many who have died of cancer, I resent that grifters saw this disease as a way to grift.

Now I get emails that my Netflix account has been suspended due to a rejected payment. Ditto my Comcast [Xfinity,] Sirius, Hulu, Prime, and iCloud, etc. accounts.

I should be happy that 10+ different senders are telling me this — nearly hourly, and their return addresses are such fun to read. [Fun being sarcastic — the return addresses are often a bunch of random letters and numbers much like ‘suggested’ passwords.]
